Nick Liefhebber is a graphic designer, illustrator and artist from Utrecht, The Netherlands where he also has is own studio. He creates bold, fun and colorful illustrations, full of wonderful details commissioned by a broad range of clients from all over the world. He also creates a lot of self initiated work, often limited edition hand printed screen prints. His illustrations are inspired by patterns and rhythms found everywhere, from art to nature. By combining these inspirations and references he creates dreamlike worlds.
Most of his work is not literally or directly interpretable but this way a lot of people can connect with the images and give them their own meaning. Nick uses the associative powers of shape and material to communicate at an intuitive level. Images built like a collage of paper cuts, ink drawings and computer generated imperfections.
