Maiko Sugiyama is an illustrator based in Tokyo. Graduated from Musashino Art University Visual Communication Design course. Inspired by vintage Japanese and European advertisements, vintage American toys, Russian and English picture books, etc; and with high contrasting colors, Maiko creates fancy and girly Japanese-style designs. The characters she draws are geometric and with strong personalities in their clothing style and mannerisms.
