Fashion and advertising illustrator, Jordi Labanda is recognized for his unique style creating beautiful images that combine environments and fashion people. He created a new departure for fashion illustration opening up a new world of opportunities.
As an editorial illustrator and trends chronicler, he contributes regularly to iconic publications from the fashion and lifestyle world such as Vogue Japan, Bergdorf Goodman Magazine, Stella Magazine from the Daily Telegraph, Tatler UK and Tatler Asia, Apartamento, Fanzine137, Candy, Harper’s Bazaar or El Magazine de La Vanguardia. His illustrations have also been featured in publications such as Wallpaper, Vogue USA, Visionaire and The NY Times Sunday Magazine, among others.
As a comercial illustrator, Labanda has illustrated the cinema poster for the latest Woody Allen film ‘Rifkin’s Festival’and collaborated with brands such as, Louis Vuitton, L’óreal, Carolina Herrèra, Tommy Hilfiger, Moncler, Four Seasons Hotels, Neiman Marcus, Knoll International, Grand Marnier, Nissan, American Express, Reebok, Zara, Adidas, Pepsi Light, Compeed, Target, Lladró, Swarovski, Alessi and Vodafone.
His work has been internationally shown at museums and galleries from Tokyo, Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, Florencia, Buenos Aires and Mexico City.
Jordi’s iconographic silhouettes have been applied for almost 20 years in several stationary, household products and other goodies for girls and womens.
Part of his work has been compiled in the bestseller "Heyday" (RM editorial house), which contains a prologue, by Tyler Brûlè. Currently, Labanda is working on a luxury pop up book titled “Scenes from High Couture” expected to be released on October 2021.
