Natsko Seki

Natsko Seki was born in 1976, grew up in Tokyo, and studied educational psychology at Keio University in Tokyo before moving to England. She graduated with a B.A. Illustration (Hons) from University of Brighton in 2005, and made her way to London where she now works on an increasing number of worldwide commissions. She focuses her field of work on travel-related illustrations and children's books. She finds most of her inspirations while travelling and living in different countries with her young son and her husband. She is currently working on a couple of children's books. Inspired by architecture and people from different ages and cultures, Natsko enjoys applying her friends and family members into her illustrations by collaging her own photographs. She believes they are the crucial part of her practice; that her timeless illustrations become personal and have a meaning.
